This section has been modified on this document only. The other documents will included notes about some stacks which are no longer included and do not mention stacks which have been added.
In this chapter, the original notes about stacks still included have been left and a complete listing of the more than 110 stacks included in the entire series has been added with a few comments.
Stacks included in the Getting Started series were included because they were good examples of a technique or way of doing things, because they were instructional, because they had tools you could use, because they contained good project ideas or for all of the above.
Animation Help 1.1Or, is a tutorial on basic HyperCard animation techniques.
Astronomy Slides shows a great use of stacks and some good basic techniques as well as having some nice art.
HyperQuiz‚Ñ¢ is included for much the same reason except that quizes can be designed as separate stacks.
Brain Stack is both and excellent detailed, interesting stack about the brain and a good demonstration of how to design a stack presenting information in an interesting way. It could use a little more art.
Better U.S.MAP-A good source of information about the states and demonstrates a good use of buttons. (Press [command spacebar] and see how many buttons are on the first card.) The method of finding the detailed card about each state is a little awkward. Perhaps you can improve it!
Dot to Dot 3 demonstrates some basic concepts and uses lots of buttons again. (Try [command-spacebar] to see them.) This is a good kindergarten or first grade stack.
Gary's Jokesp is included as a light-hearted basic stack.
Mars Observer - This is one of the stacks we created. It has great information from NASA about the Mars Observer space telescope and it can serve as a beginning for your own information stacks.
